In addition, some states require special permits for handling and disposing of hazardous materials. Don’t transport them by mail or use a service to pick up items from your house or business. If you think your shingles are hazardous waste, take them to a facility in person. In California, for example, cities are allowed to accept asphalt shingle waste only from owners of single-family homes and commercial buildings up to three stories high. Most states have restrictions about how you can handle old shingles. However, if you can’t get to a disposal facility or find one nearby, you must know hazardous materials laws. It is in line with federal guidelines for what can be considered non-hazardous waste. Most states classify asphalt shingles as green waste or yard waste. If you need to dispose of asphalt shingles, you must follow your state and local rules. (Most recycling facilities accept these materials.) Another option is to donate your old shingles to an asphalt contractor who will use them to repair roadways. If allowed, disposing of asphalt shingles is simple: roll them up and dispose of them at your local landfill or other disposal facilities. You can consider asphalt shingles as a non-hazardous waste when disposed of in a usual manner. ![]() Get Rid of Your Old Shingles ResponsiblyĪre Asphalt Shingles Considered Hazardous Waste? ![]() Determine Whether Your Asphalt Shingles Are Dangerous Waste

Theres definitely a feeling when an arpg hits it right, like you feel excited for the next thing, or the next drop, or the next skill. ![]() I think it came down to a mix of odd design decisions, the slow boring gameplay with no real exploration when compared to other arpgs, and the skills being uninteresting. Torchlight 3 also seemed to have very odd bugs or design decisions, I chose the spider poison rune with the robot guy. Torchlight 2 has so many affix on things, torchlight 3 has them but no in the same way, you dont just find an item with like 5 different on hit effects. On top of that the loot, my god the loot is boring in torchlight 3, it's just basic. Although torchlight 2 has obvious main quests and stuff, It feels like I'm in a big world I can explore and investigate. Torchlight 3 felt like a slog through a map to go into a dungeon or talk to a person, like I was just ticking off a box of things, linear. In torchlight 3 it never felt like that, it was just one more set of enemies to deal with. In torchlight 2, when u press a chest or a totem or something, and the enemies crawl out of the ground, out of caves, climb over the edge of the cliff at you, I personally feel excited like theres an event and a challenge, like it feels alive. ![]() The enemies, although looking similar never made me feel excited and like I was doing a challenge. ![]() For example, it’s CTools that provides blocks for every field, so you can display an individual field from an entity-like a piece of content-if you have any entities in the current context. While most of the functionality in CTools got merged into Drupal 8 core, there are a number of things that didn’t make it that are still necessary. Both Panels and Page Manager depend on it. The CTools module provides some APIs and developer tools for other modules to use. The goal is to get Layout Plugin merged into Drupal 8.1.0 core to make this the official standard! CTools The goal is to get as many modules that need to provide or use layouts depending on the same framework. It’s used by both Panels and Display Suite (an alternative to Panels), making their layouts interchangeable, rather than each module providing its own concept of layouts. The Layout Plugin module allows modules or themes to register layouts by simply providing a YAML file and some templates, and for other modules to list the available layouts and render them. The same block can now be placed multiple times, and can be context-aware (there is now a Context API in core) so you can, for example, display a field from the piece of content currently being viewed as a block. This is possible because blocks in Drupal 8 are much more powerful. Unlike in Drupal 7, Panels uses core blocks, rather than its own special concept. The variant type provided by Panels allows you to select a layout-provided via the Layout Plugin module-and place core blocks in any of its regions. In fact, the standard Block module in core uses a variant to display the global blocks. The Panels module provides a variant type that can be used by Page Manager, or any other module which uses variants-which are now a Drupal core concept. Using the Panels variant type, you could chose a different layout for each content type, showing each of its fields in one of the various regions! It can also allow you to override existing routes and to change the way Drupal displays the content there.įor example, you could override the node/% path (which displays normal content) and have a variant for each content type on the site. So, for example, you could create a frontpage at with two variants: one for anonymous users about your product, and another for authenticated users which shows the user’s dashboard. There are selection criteria used to determine which variant will be used. The Page Manager module allows you to create special pages at custom URL paths (called routes in Drupal 8) that are made up of one or more variants. So, when you are adding content to the panel, all of the entity's fields are available through the "Add block" button.Īs mentioned previously, we offer project coaching to clients as a way of guiding and training developers on the organization's own projects. The "Chaos Tools Blocks" module (obviously, part of the Chaos Tools module provides each of the entity's fields as blocks. Second - and this is where the non-obvious solution comes in - there's another module that must be enabled to get access to the fields. This was something that was provided by default in Drupal 7. There's a couple of steps required to make this happen.įirst, you'll need to create a new panel context for the entity whose display you're looking to override. But, when you're overriding something like the user display page (or a node display page), you're probably going to want to place fields attached to the user entity in the panel as well. If you were just creating a standard landing page (and not overriding an existing system path), you'd have all you need at this point, just place blocks in the Panel and you're done. The custom layout is created (quite easily) using the Layout Plugin module. We want to use the Page Manager module to override a particular existing system path ("user/", for example), then create a variant that uses Panels as the builder. In Drupal 8, the process a bit different than in Drupal 7, but the main concepts are the same. While working with one of our project coaching (see below for details) clients recently, I was asked to show their developer how to override the default user profile display page with a custom Panels layout. “My parents gifted us our property to build our home on and it was part of one of their farm fields, so the flower farm straddles both properties. “The flowers will grow in beds that are on our property and the farm of my parents as our land and theirs are side by side,” she said. Purchasing a fresh bouquet filled with their birth flowers can make a simple birthday gift all the more thoughtful. Regardless of how these categories officially came to be, the cultural fascination with flowers has lasted for centuries, and there are now dozens of flowers that have taken on sentimental meanings.Įxploring the birth flower meanings for each month can be a new window into your own journey, and it can also be useful as a way to connect with loved ones. Flowers were a common gift in the Roman Empire, and since the Romans were one of the first civilizations to celebrate birthdays, this could have led to the assignment of different flowers for each month. While the exact origins of birth flowers are unclear, some historians believe they came into use as far back as Ancient Rome. But even if you aren’t checking your horoscope every day or going through a spiritual awakening, it can still be fascinating to uncover the meaning behind monthly symbols such as birthstones, or an even lesser known category: birth flowers. ![]() And remember, the Deluxe's built-in pressure regulation helps ensure consistent output in a variety of conditions (ie, mountains!) that would challenge more basic stove designs. ![]() Heck, in terms of flame control this is easily one of the finest canister stove I've ever used, integrated systems included. Simmer quality and raw output are quite good. But I did enjoy the ease of the Deluxe's push-button ignition. The ultralight purist in me says if I've got a stove I'm carrying a lighter, so ditch the igniter and save me a few grams. In use, I found the PocketRocket Deluxe lit reliably using its Piezo igniter I didn't have to use my Bic lighter even once, including in wind. My kit included MSR's 1.2L Trail Mini cook pot, which weighs 9.9 ounces including handle and lid, for a total system weight of 12.8 ounces. Depending on your preferred level of minimalism, you can get something as light as the Toaks 650, which adds a mere 2.8 ounces including lid, for a system total (fuel excluded) of 5.7 ounces. This on its own is a very compelling quality, but don't forget you have to add a cook pot. The first thing you notice about the PocketRocket is that it's tiny-a very light 2.9 ounces. So off the PocketRocket Deluxe and I went for three nights and 21 miles in the Canyon. But, I figured, that was a question worth answering. Was there a compelling reason to use a non-integrated stove circa 2019? I wasn't so sure. I admit, taking the PocketRocket instead of a Jetboil did feel a little funny at first. OK, maybe that's not the most overwhelming list of perks. They're lighter, more versatile (allowing you to use a wider range of pots and pans), and. That said, there are advantages to using stand-alone burner heads. Wind is the bane of traditional canister stoves-a big reason why I (and so many others) have switched to Jetboil's integrated systems. Key additions include a pressure regulator for improved performance in cold temperatures, an auto-igniter, and a larger, redesigned burner head to improve simmer performance and resistance to wind. The 'Deluxe' is a February 2019 update to MSR's popular PocketRocket stove. I'd been planning on replacing my aging Jetboil Sol-Ti, so the PocketRocket's arrival was serendipitous. MSR was kind enough to send their new PocketRocket Deluxe just in time for a backpacking trip across the Grand Canyon. ![]() I don’t know what brought this to mind, perhaps it was something on tv but i always thought to myself that much of medieval art is creepy and weird.
